Coronavirus…
2020 has been a rolling dumpster fire of a year so far hasn’t it? Record unemployment claims (I think, I haven’t fact checked those numbers), people staying at home, government stimulus checks, panic buying, and specific groups of people who refuse to recognize the pandemic as a threat. Instead, they feel that any infringement on their personal freedoms is commensurate with communism and how dare anybody suggest otherwise? All because of a virus.
Yes, 2020 has been a great year so far.
I apologize, I know that introduction bordered on political which is a topic I tend to remove myself from. This minor rant brought to you by a military spouse I happened to be in the same room with, as she was griping over being refused service at a base agency because she wasn’t wearing a mask. This boiled over into a complaint about their customer service and that they didn’t provide her a mask instead of sending her and her toddler away.
It’s been a trying few weeks since my last entry. We’re a little over halfway through a two week on workweek of 12 hour overnight shifts and between balancing work responsibilities, wrapping up a pair of college courses and coordinating the May issue of Envie that’s just around the corner, I’m a bit frazzled. Not a cry for sympathy, just how it is.
I really need to be writing.
